Hi, I was reading about the new features on the forum, and it's awesome! Here's an idea that might be good for boosting forum interaction: on another forum I'm in, you earn points for interacting. For example, if you comment on a post, you earn points—though, of course, there should be a minimum word count for it to count. If you create a new post, you also earn points. In our case, it could be a way to earn karma... It's just an option, see if it's viable
Can we please get rid of the animated crap bouncing about users headers? The linux icons that move around.
It's irritating AF and they seem to have sufficiently different metadata that adblocking it doesn't have universal effect. Like seriously why is this a thing

Pop a feature request in to the feature request section, you only need 10 people to agree

ublock origin, dashboard, "My Filters", add:
||lowendspirit.com/uploads/karmastore/*$image
It'll stop all of the Karma store icons from showing up for you.
If you only want to block the "animated" ones, use this instead:

Can't say I'm stoked about this. Either the animations or process.
10 people agree for a feature add makes sense. Features take engineering effort so you want to make sure there is actual need/user demand. I fully support a high threshold on that sort of thing, especially if the engineering effort is being done by volunteers & people with limited time.
Irritating AF UI elements that were not there but were actively added are not features to be considered for future implementation

What I find irritating AF is when people just aggressively expect change because they, singular have an issue with something.
If you want a feature to disable moving icons, there is a place to request that.
More than 10 people are using them, 1 person has complained.
I am trying my best to give people equal access to opportunity for direction and change and choices.
Obviously I got a lot wrong initially, I did lay out plans in advance I got very little practical feedback in reality so I just had to throw all ideas at the wall and see what sticks.
Then I found myself on a stress fuelled nightmare changing and tweaking everything every person didn't like individually and that's a route to early retirement.
So now I take on board suggestions that are reasonable and not framed as an angry rant, I have a book, I write them down, and the feature requests (maybe I should rename to change requests) if they get 10 votes I am likely to do regardless of what I personally think about the idea if it's practical to implement.
I have a backlog in all directions in work and life right now and I can't just react to these things on the spot anymore.
If you want a way to disable animated icons, it's 7 words in the feature requests.

I can report that @somik's instructions about how to block animated icons do seem to work here, on my Chromebook, which offers uBlock Origin Lite.
Here is what I did:
Click the uBlock Origin Lite icon. Then click Create a custom filter. These two clicks will open the Custom Filters tab, which shows the Filter Creation Sandbox.
As instructed on the Sandbox page, open chrome://extensions and click to allow user scripts.
Copy and paste @somik's filter scripts into the sandbox and click Save.
That's it! Here are screenshots of @somik's instruction post before and after @somik's filter scripts were added to my Chromebook. In the second screenshot, the two animated icons seem to have been removed by the filters.
