@FrankZ said: @VirMach I noticed what appears to be an inconsistency on your web site for Premium Ryzen VPS, on this page,
I have marked the inconsistency on this screenshot.
I expect it is not a high priority right now, but I figured you might want to know about it.
We should fix it by making it give you less disk unless you scroll down.
LOL. You seem to be in good humor tonight. Or is that just me misinterpreting your lack of sleep, and excess caffeine intake ?
I slept well today, finally. Too well actually, that explains some of the delays although it wouldn't have helped too much. I did have a lot of coffee as well.
You Dallas VPS is probably in NYC now. After you get the timeout in the billing panel, go to the left menu and click "management".
Thanks for the pointer, this is very helpful. Turns out it still shows me on RYZE.DAL-Z004.VMS with my old IP. VNC wouldn't connect. Can't power it off, either.
DALZ004 ran into issues. We might have to get people up for that and maybe DALZ007 as new services without backup for now.
I'm on DALZ004 and have my own backups. I'd love the option to be moved to NYC as a new service, if possible.
This is being worked on, I think, by someone other than me. I'll try to get an update.
I have access to most the San Jose servers for several hours now, slowly it's getting better. Needs to get better enough to where it has a connection to the master server then we can process IP changes.
I'm in Tulsa, so OKC is good with me. If you get desperate for some smart hands, I might make a trip. Electricity rates are going up fast here in OK, so I would sign a long term contract if possible. Several rate hikes in the last 2 years plus 2021 winter storm rider.
My VPS from node "NYCB021" has been woked up today
It needed only a "Reconfigure Networking" on SolusVM to use the new IP address. (This VPS previously was on node "RYZE.DAL-Z003.VMS" (Dallas location), but it now in New York).

I'm actually leaning toward going with a lot of space in OKC and specifically using that location to focus on our dedicated servers product as it would make the most sense.
Power is cheap there, and the more data we can get with many carriers the better. It ends up making way more sense than paying high setup fee and monthly fee for a cabinet as they have a ton of space there, just nothing already set up. So if we get a lot of power, space, and then just have it to set up cabinets and fill them out as we go and have a bunch of transit ready to go as we spin up new ones. So yeah, offering dedicated servers and even colocation is very realistic for that location.
Additional possibly good news for everyone else, based on the power quote I got we could end up being able to just put up all the old equipment we have gathering dust, that's E5's and E3's and just do some type of launch promotion for those at a good price, special only to kind of make amends for anyone who had dedicated servers with us over the last couple years and what they had to go through. Basically at-cost.
It wouldn't be my first choice personally, but OKC is definitely workable for me, especially if the pricing is good. I'd be very interested in something there if you get back into dedis.
@VirMach
I was also affected by your Dedicated server exit from ColoCrossing. I am open to OKC as long as its reliable and stable. Likewise would be interesting to see you return back offering Dedicated server again.
In other news; my DAL VPS is now connecting in NYC - better than nowt.

Simplified IPv4 change process, since we had to delay it.
You'll receive a ticket with the new IPv4 address, and new address will appear as the "main" IPv4 address but old IPv4 address will still remain there as secondary.
We'll set an official date of September 21st for the new IPv4 address being available but will communicate any delays on the network status page. When confirmed ready, the old IPv4 will be removed as secondary and we'll sync it with WHMCS.
You can reconfigure on your own time from September 21st to September 28th.
On September 28th, we begin reconfiguring any new IPv4 not pinging.
Really working to have this ready and begin sending out communication starting tonight, into tomorrow.
Are push not allowed recently? A kind-hearted mjj only needs us to pay the push fee to push the vps in the picture to our account. Today he said that virmach rejected it and only refunded 1 of the 2 push fees. I want a vps with an annual payment of 24.6 US dollars.
I've given up on that one. It was probably full of cheap BF specials and as such probably cheaper for the provider to return pennies if anything and cancel all those contracts rather than bother replacing them at this point.

We've never made a decision based on something like that.
Here, I'll give you an example. ATLZ002 was one of our most profitable nodes as it was filled exclusively with higher-priced Windows plans and closed out (filled completely.) It ended up being one of the last to be moved in from backups to NYC, for other reasons that have nothing to do with the value. Should we have probably focused on that first as a good business decision? Sure, but that's not how we operate.

They rarely get rejected but they do sometimes get rejected. I wouldn't be able to know the reason unless I have more information, but likely because their account has too many flags.

When a mjj has multiple groups of three particularly good flash deals, when it was hard to get even one for most people, I would expect that there was a previous multi account or scalper issue with this customer. Personally I would stay away from this so as to not have my account associated with this type of thing, and the problems it might cause in the future. Just my2 cents.
I have no idea what's actually going on with San Jose.
I am guessing it still has to do on Evocative's end with the router. I've spent a lot of time going down a rabbit hole and everything seems to point to their router having some problem that's causing visibility issues. It's announced properly, RPKI is correct, shows up on everything, but it looks like it's only getting picked up by only a few carriers, except if you dig into it everything's already updated pretty much everywhere.
Looking at major transit looking glasses that have a problem with it, I see that it's definitely making it all the way to the facility, and then poof. Anyway, that's just my guess. At this point I'll play my "I'm not a network engineer" card.
While doing that I also got the other company to look into Phoenix further and it looks like that's just been resolved, shifting toward checking that now (edit) well at least one of them is up.
We're setting a 22nd date for when new IP will work and old will be soft removed, and old address will work until 29th if it's not touched (it can also be added back manually internally but SolusVM may try to do something weird with it at that point so it's not guaranteed. Wait until the go-ahead to change it.) If we change them sooner we'll update the network status page with a list before the 22nd in that case.
They rarely get rejected but they do sometimes get rejected. I wouldn't be able to know the reason unless I have more information, but likely because their account has too many flags.
Since I am not the owner of the account, I cannot provide further information, but as far as I know, the account owner does not make money by reselling high-configuration vps. He did only charge 3 US dollars + 0.7 US dollars ( (Manual fee), considering the remaining usage time of the vps, there is no problem in saying that it is given away for free. Due to many reasons, the account owners will no longer renew many vps in the picture . It would be a pity if these vps disappeared because of non-renewal.

Thank you for your kind reminder. Considering that virmach planned to kill multiple account users and many users who resold high-configuration vps during the flash sale last year, it took a long time for many low-priced and high-configuration vps to be sold out during the flash sale, so I’m not surprised that one account has many low-priced and high-end VPS . Furthermore, if vir provides users with 8 tags, my account will have at least 5 tags, and it doesn’t matter if I have one more.

Past a certain point it becomes difficult processing a transfer without it causing problems for the person it's transferred to, because they will have to inherit certain notes and such. So if it was rejected it's to avoid putting your account at risk in the future. Doesn't mean 100% something's very wrong but it's a simple transfer.
If he wants to transfer after that transfer type is rejected it's manual/custom transfer at a higher fee, then we can actually spend time and look into it further for those cases.
I'd probably say like 500+ transfers processed for every 1-2 rejected for that reason though so ar.

Atlanta, we're aware of the two nodes going down, probably connectivity, I haven't yet investigated what happened.
Atlanta signed on already, ETA is end of next week for setup for new cabinet.
San Jose, it's taking a long time to propagate, master node still cannot reach them for IPv4 changes.
Phoenix, I've so far been unable to get them to understand the announcement and IPMI issues, trying again. They misunderstood for whatever reason.
Seattle, I reached out to Sabey again and haven't heard back.

Been collecting Virmach specials for a long while, so I have a $3/yr one, a $4.95/yr one, two $6/yr ones, and one that is $6.01/yr.
