Our first Amsterdam and first real disappointment of the night. Oh I feel bad doing this, I thought I wouldn't feel bad but... okay I know what I'll do. This is one of the nodes that's part of the upcoming changes in Amsterdam I described some pages ago on another thread. I'm going to pretend as if those changes already went through, because otherwise this node has 130 free IPv4 and @msatt would get nothing. That would technically be better for us anyway and I should probably code something out for this type of upcoming big change for the auto deals too. It's still not too great but you might get some boost. Okay nope. Hmm... I guess all the deals that have sold on this node have been pretty much the same small plans as a result of ...

Give me more time to come up with more excuses and reasoning to try to make this good, deferring.

  • Is candle 4 not available yet? Or is it a cache issue? And will the price change after 2 yrs?

@VirMach Do you have many nodes in San Jose where the name suggests it is a Seattle node? I was finally able to access Solus (through my Virmach control panel) and it says my node is SEA-Z010.

I've looked up the IP in three different free ip2geolocation tools and got three very different answers: Brooklyn, NY; Tehran, IR; and Virginia. Attempt #4 said Brooklyn, NY.

I can't YABS it because VNC shows it's stuck in a kernel panic and rebooting isn't fixing it. lol

    Power off, reinstall.

Thanks :). I got this when I originally tried, but it loaded and reinstalled after.

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at vps.virmach.com.

YABS is running now and says the location is Los Angeles, so I really don't know where my server is. My best guess is...somewhere in the continental USA?

Edit: thanks for doing math to give us deals.

That would explain the 25GB disk .

Okay I've figured it out. It turns out that this node has way too many IP addresses, and I'm completely flipping my logic. We're selling plans based on how they are now, not how they might be, and it has 130 of them. That's so many. We'll never be able to sell all of them so there's only one thing we can do here since the resources are otherwise so low per IP.

No idea what price I'd even put on this I probably wouldn't sell it somewhere between $32 and $57.38 per two years I guess.

Pretty good lucky streak in San Jose. Alright now it's @FrankZ let's see if it continues. Uhoh, memory not looking good but lots of IPs. This is going to be a weird one. Oh right I know what I'd do in this situation. Yep looks like the system did something on a similar plan recently.

YABS on my @VirMach Candle #3 VPS. It is either in Iran or somewhere in the continental US. TBD. Nice CPU, though. :)

Not sure if I bought the same candle again, or another night's candle. :o Will figure out when VirMach rolls through.

@VirMach you said that you were going to have a new location in the future, can I order my Mystery Box in that future Mystery location ?

I feel like accepting preorders automatically curses any upcoming plans.

Just don't reveal the location during preoder? It adds more fun and makes it more of a loot box.
It won't be APAC so MJJ wouldn't be much of an issue

To the contrary, they'll all buy hundreds of them, get pissed when it's NOT APAC, and then DDoS Virmach for weeks.

    Answer is wrong my man
Lets just say @VirMach is just a collateral damage in previous DDoS attacks because upstream provider @xTom pissed off two MJJ communities hard and @VirMach use their IP. Did you see any DDoS against IP subnets from Quadranet, Evocative?

By now the remaining MJJ who talk shit but are still actively getting new vps here are hood rats who are neither financially nor technically capable to launch DDoS attacks. Best they can do is to trying to get @VirMach s subnets blocked by GFW = hurting each other
Sane MJJ seethingly either jumped off the boat already, or are secretly getting new flash sales despite all the grudges while warning other MJJ not to get on the sinking boat.

Since the mystery of day 3 is revealed it should be the next night's candle actually

Haha I was wondering the same thing! I think Candle #4 is active even though it's showing up as Candle #3. @VirMach definitely changed it to OOS earlier.

I have no clue what's going on, I just buy the candles and roll the dice. As long as I'm in for the next night.

I already thought I got night two, but missed it and bought 1 and 3, and now 4.. I think?
