I discovered LowEndSpirit through mentions on LowEndTalk and Reddit's self-hosting communities. In my spare time, I enjoy homelab experimentation, playing with Alpine/Debian micro-instances, Docker containerization, and tinkering with lightweight network architecture.

Hey! I'm a VPS enthusiast with a bad habit of buying a cheap server "just to try something" and then spending the whole weekend messing around with it.
I enjoy Linux, self-hosting, and experimenting with different VPS setups. Recently, I've been trying to get OpenClaw running on my own VPS. Sometimes things work perfectly, and sometimes I spend hours figuring out what I broke.
I'd love to join LowEndSpirit to discover interesting VPS providers, learn from other people's experiences, and share some of my own little experiments. Always happy to learn something new!

Hey all! I'm just a hobbyist who loves messing around with cheap VPSes and self-hosting stuff. Got a few little boxes in Japan and the US right now, mostly NAT and budget KVMs, including a RackNerd one. I mainly use them for side projects, networking experiments and getting better at Linux. Been eyeing HostHatch, GreenCloud and WebHorizon on LET too, so I'll probably end up with more servers than I need, lol. Mostly here to learn, catch some good deals and share my own experiences when I can.

Found you guys through LowEndTalk, been lurking there for a while. Besides servers, I'm into networking, latency testing, home lab stuff and writing little automation scripts. Outside of tech I lift a lot. Currently sitting at around 397 squat, 265 bench and 441 deadlift, so roughly an 1,100 lb total. Still chasing more!

I saw Shock's deal and realized I'd somehow never made an account on LES. I wasn't planning to buy anything from that offer, but I figured it was time to sign up anyway.
I was busy with some other work at the time and rushed the introduction. Reading it back, yeah, it sounds stiff and generic. I guess people thought I was a bot, which might explain the downvotes. Sorry about that, I should've put more thought into it.

I just reached +4 after an hour and a half. During that time, I kept anxiously refreshing the page and waiting to see if anyone had any questions for me. I was only one point away, but within a few minutes my score dropped back to zero.
I don’t understand where this hostility is coming from. Isn’t this system supposed to keep bots out? I’ve been so active, so why are people still downvoting me? I really don’t understand.

Found it through LowEndTalk, someone linked a LES thread in a comment there. Extra info: work IT/sysadmin-ish, and outside of servers I'm into home lab tinkering, 3d printing and cycling. A third VPS for offsite backups is probably next.

Been running a few things on cheap little KVM boxes for a couple of years now - one runs wireguard for when I'm on hotel wifi, one runs pihole and a couple of docker containers for family photos. Picked up most of what I know from LowEndTalk threads and random blogs. LES seems a bit less shouty and people here actually run stuff themselves instead of only chasing deals, which is more my thing. Not planning to sell anything, just want a place to talk shop and get help when I break something at 2am.

It was a user from the LES forum who leaked the information to the NodeSeek forum; in fact, NodeSeek users only register on LES to ensure they comply with the relevant rules and the service provider's requirements. Drop the arrogance—don’t write off an entire group just because of one illogical, isolated case. Found it through LowEndTalk, saw the 99-year dedicated server thread linked there. Interests: homelab, networking and routing, testing VPS providers, hosting game servers for friends, BOINC volunteer computing. Outside of computers I spend a lot of time at the gym.

Hey! I'm a VPS enthusiast with a bad habit of buying a cheap server "just to try something" and then spending the whole weekend messing around with it.
I enjoy Linux, self-hosting, and experimenting with different VPS setups. Recently, I've been trying to get OpenClaw running on my own VPS. Sometimes things work perfectly, and sometimes I spend hours figuring out what I broke.

Hey all! I'm just a hobbyist who loves messing around with cheap VPSes and self-hosting stuff. Got a few little boxes in Japan and the US right now, mostly NAT and budget KVMs, including a RackNerd one. I mainly use them for side projects, networking experiments and getting better at Linux. Been eyeing HostHatch, GreenCloud and WebHorizon on LET too, so I'll probably end up with more servers than I need, lol. Mostly here to learn, catch some good deals and share my own experiences when I can.

Honestly, I don’t get why people keep downvoting me. Isn’t the whole point of community review to help people tell the difference between AI-generated and human-made content? I’m active on several other well-known IDC and hosting forums, and yet here I am, a real person, getting downvoted over and over again. I honestly don’t get it.

Found it through LowEndTalk, someone linked a LES thread in a comment there. Extra info: work IT/sysadmin-ish, and outside of servers I'm into home lab tinkering, 3d printing and cycling. A third VPS for offsite backups is probably next.

Been running a few things on cheap little KVM boxes for a couple of years now - one runs wireguard for when I'm on hotel wifi, one runs pihole and a couple of docker containers for family photos. Picked up most of what I know from LowEndTalk threads and random blogs. LES seems a bit less shouty and people here actually run stuff themselves instead of only chasing deals, which is more my thing. Not planning to sell anything, just want a place to talk shop and get help when I break something at 2am.

I discovered LowEndSpirit while browsing discussions on VPS communities like LowEndTalk and NodeSeek regarding NAT VPS and ultra-budget hosting. Outside of programming, I enjoy homelab experiments, exploring network protocols, and reading.

NodeSeek is a Chinese-language community, and the majority of its users are Chinese. If you want to engage in racial discrimination, feel free to say so openly—I don’t mind. Furthermore, not everyone in the world uses English; surely using translation tools doesn’t violate this forum’s rules, does it?
